About The Artist
Hari Narayan Marotia

Mr. Hari Narayan Marotia is engaged in work art of Indian miniature paintings since last more than 30 years. His specific area of work is to discover study and master the styles and sub-styles of Indian miniature painting flourished in different regions of India.
He was born on June 26, 1968 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. His interest in the arts has been life-long, beginning with the appreciation of many artists, both famous and lesser known, including his father and elder brother. From this inspiration and working mainly on traditional miniature paintings he decided to pursue a career in the arts. Working constantly with a great passion led him to fine tune and develop his own style.
Art has been a major part of his life since his pre-teen years. I was first introduced to the world of fine art and oil painting by my father. Dad was a professional artist and used to earn living by selling his paintings. He taught him the fundamentals of art and composition, in addition to, working in several different styles.
He approaches his art through "positivity". He learnt how to grind his own pigments and make his own colors from vegetables and rock pieces and also mediums.
